3. Post-Web:
As each group or pair of students completes the worksheet, have them prepare an
oral presentation of their proposed trip to give to the rest of the class. OR,
have them tell about the trip as though it occurred in the past, complete with
stories of problems, etc. that occurred.
VARIATIONS:
--give each student
a different character which will determine the types of sites they visit: you
love museums, but only small ones; you are a vegetarian, etc.
--make it more of a
game and give students bonus points for finding out certain, specific
information.
--challenging: give
students a budget. (NOTE: this would be an advanced version, as not everything
students come across on web has price info.)
--combine a writing
activity: students write about their trip, either in past or future.
--students pretend they are travel agents and plan a package tour.
